Refocus Program

What are the Refocus Programs at Southeastern?

The Refocus Program at Southeastern Alternative School is available for Fauquier County students in grades 6 - 12 who have been long-term suspended or alternatively placed from their base school. The FCPS School Board or Superintendent / Designee decides which students are granted access to this unique educational opportunity. This program is not made available to all students on suspension or alternative placement.

The purpose of the Refocus Program is to allow students to continue to receive educational services in core content areas and select electives through a Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) Program while serving a discipline restriction from their base schools. This environment allows students to complete courses required for promotion and graduation using our accredited, online curriculum.
